Story Writeup:

The general plot of the story would follow princess Mononoke and the themes are similar, Nature vs Human. This theme is translated into a power struggle similar to the colonial period of the 17th and 18th century. However, the setting is fictional and takes place in a world of wonder and fantasy. Floating islands, mystical creatures, and magic are common in this world which adds another theme of how Humans in this world relate to and use magic.

Backup Ideas: 

1) Typical Fantasy Story, Mages, Warriors, etc. maybe the setting is like a wizard's tower or some academy. Or like a fantasy city with bustling mages and all types of people.

2)Post fantasy/grim fantasy. Magic fading or gone but living in the recent memory of it. Some cataclysmic event is apparent and people are living in the wake of it.
